Proper Candle Care

1. Why do I need to trim the candle wick before I burn it?

In order to get a good even burn with little to no soot it is necessary to trim your wick 1/4 of an inch prior to each burn.

2. Can I burn my candle all day?

We love the smell of a good candle all day long but in order to get the benefits of your candle it is best to only burn the candle for 4 hours at a time otherwise you risk the wax super heating and losing fragrance from your scented candle. Plus who wants a soot riddled candle? I know I don't so for these reasons we don't recommend burning your candle for longer than 4 hours.

3. Why did my candle only burn in the center?

When you first burn your candle it is important to make sure you burn it until the entire top layer reaches a full melt pool. To ensure you burn your candle long enough you can easily measure the diameter of your candle and however many inches the vessel is determines the number of hours the candle must burn to achieve a full melt pool.
